Pressure sores, also known as pressure ulcers, can seriously affect the quality of life for individuals. However, with good care, most can be prevented.

You will learn about the risk factors that may make an individual more susceptible to developing sores, changes in skin to look out for and preventative measures.

You will learn about the 5 elements of care, which can prevent pressure sores developing:

This course will result in four short quizzes that will allow you to demonstrate your knowledge gained by requiring you to answer various multiple choice questions that will test you on different section of the modules you will have studied.

Once completed you will have a level 2 Certificate for Awareness in Pressure Area Care.

This course will be undertaken online using our canvas platform. Learners will be given a login to access the course and all relevant resources needed to complete the course.
